Our office is equipped with the latest technology for the protocol of safe amalgam removal.  We use the IQ Air Purifier and filtration system with hepa, a system designed in Switzerland with precise engineering.  The IQ Air has a hepa filter and then some; it has a micro particle retention rate up to 100 times higher than regular hepa.

Hepa is a high efficiency particulate air filter.  By definition, hepa filters remove at least 99.97% of airborne particles 0.3 micrometers in diameter.

As an added safety feature, we place a rubber dam over the patient's mouth so no amalgam goes inside your mouth.  You will also wear an oxygen mask during the procedure to ensure you are breathing only pure oxygen, therefore no vapours or leakage happens during the amalgam removal process.
