Our highly trained staff is there to assist you in every way possible to determine what your dental benefits are. As a service to you, we bill most dental insurance companies directly asking you only for your co-payment at the time of service. The claims are submitted immediately via the Electronic billing system and the response from the insurance companies is instant.
As of January 1, 2004, privacy legislation came into effect. Insurance companies will no longer provide us with information regarding your insurance coverage. Every dental plan is unique and offers different benefits to their clients; it is a contract your employer negotiated with the dental plan company. To assist us in determining your dental insurance coverage, we do suggest you obtain a detailed outline of your dental benefits which you can obtain from your employer.
If requested, our staff will assist you in obtaining a pre-estimate of treatment fees, which can be sent to your insurance company for confirmation of your coverage. This will enable you to plan ahead and arrange your finances accordingly, before commencing with treatment.
Examples of routine dental care usually include such services as:
Preventive Care - examinations, x-rays, polishing, fluoride treatments, sealants, night-guards
Restorative Care - amalgam and composite resin fillings and stainless steel crowns on primary teeth
Endodontics - treatment of root canals and removal of tooth nerves
Oral Surgery - tooth removal (not including bony impaction) and minor surgical procedures such as tissue biopsy and drainage of minor oral infections
Periodontics - treatment of uncomplicated periodontal disease including, but not limited to, scaling, root planing and management of acute infections or lesions
Major Restorative - services usually include crowns, bridges, dentures, implants, and orthodontic treatment
It is not unusual to be eligible for dual benefits. You may be covered under your company's plan as well as under that of your spouse's employer. In analyzing your options, you may be eligible for up to 100% coverage for many dental procedures.
